Free admission day on the anniversary of the outbreak of the Kosciuszko Insurrection
March 24, 2023 (Friday) commemorates the 229th anniversary of the outbreak of the Kosciuszko Insurrection. On this occasion, all visitors have free admission to the Kosciuszko Mound and the Kosciuszko Museum.
229 years ago, on March 24, 1794, Tadeusz Kosciuszko took an oath to the Polish Nation on the Main Square in Krakow, thereby starting the Kosciuszko Insurrection – an armed national uprising against the partitioners.
On this special day, we invite you to visit the place in the Krakow Market Square – marked with a commemorative plaque – where Kosciuszko took the oath, and the Kosciuszko Mound – a memorial to the Commander.
While visiting the Kosciuszko Mound, you also have the opportunity to visit the Kosciuszko Museum. Through the permanent exhibition “Kosciuszko – a hero for our times” you will learn more about Tadeusz Kosciuszko and the Insurrection.
On March 24, Kosciuszko Mound will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
